American Soldier

Part 1

A. I believe photo 17 is the most powerful because you can see the fear in his eyes but also the determination behind it.

B.
Set #1 At home in Denver - Image #1 to image #9
Set #2 At Basic Training - Image #10 to image #50
Set #3 In Iraq - Image #51 to image #70
Set #4 Back in Denver - Image#71 to image #83

I feel like the basic training images were most powerful to me because a lot of sad moments were on there.

C. They work together because its telling the story before and after he went to the army it also showed details from the middle of that like him going to church or him getting talking to his girlfriend about their problems.

Part 2

A. The verbs tense are usually written in present tense for example, " Ian races straight for an embrace with Devin."

B. They enhance the photographs by helping the person seeing the picture understand what happened at that moment why did they take the photo.

Part 3

A. Image 79
Tuesday october 5th Ian holds his girlfriend for the first time in a year, since he's been gone in iraq.

B. Image 83
Shortly weeks after Ian arrived from iraq him and his new wife move in together and discuss what kind of furniture would be nice in their new house.

C. Image 2
Ian finally graduates and receives his diploma May 31, 2007 and is finally ready to join the army.

Part 4

A. They enhance photography by allowing you to have more then one option maybe you want photos so you can post it on the wall ore maybe you want videos to capture the memory and live that exact moment again after watching the video.

B. Videos are better then photos because they actually capture the moment and the talking so you can know what exactly happened like in "Coming home" you see all the emotion going on.

C. Photos are better then videos because photos are faster to see and they still capture the moment even without the talking.

Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO - How do they all work?

Part 1

This is a photo captured with an aperture setting of F2.8

This is a photo captured with an aperture setting of about F16

1. Your eyes are mostly related to aperture.

2. The smaller the Aperture the bigger depth of field, the higher the Aperture the smaller depth of field.

3. The smaller the aperture the the more it focuses on the foreground rather then the back ground thus making the background blurry.the bigger the aperture the more clear you see the background there for making both the fore and
backgrounds visible.

Part 2

At the beginning while the sun is still partially up and the courtyard has reasonable light

a.) the dunking booth  1/25
b.) the food eating contest  1/4
c.) the rock climbing wall  normal
d.) someone working at a booth  1/2
e.) the DJ/MC working at the middle of the circle  1/4
f. ) the Diamonds performance  1/50

Towards the end when there is no sun and has gotten dark enough that you can't see from one end of the courtyard to the other.

a.) the dunking booth 1/50
b.) the food eating contest 1/8
c.) the rock climbing wall 1/2
d.) someone working at a booth 1/8
e.) the DJ/MC working at the middle of the circle 1/8
f. ) the Diamonds performance 1/8

Part 3

1. What are the advantages of shoot at a higher ISO at a sporting event like basketball or a night football game?
This helps because the shutter speed is able to capture faster photos so you can capture the photograph better.

2. What suggestions did the author make about using a low ISO?
When the lighting is good and strong, or in low lighting to make a paranormal illusion.

3. What suggestions did the author make about using a high ISO?
When theres not enough light to fully capture an image, you need ultra-fast shots.

F4-  You can tell what the background is but its still very blurry  looks best at 1/125 shutter speed.

F5.6- The background became more visible but is still blurry, you can see the slide and a playground a little.

F8- The whole photo is blurry you can't even see what is going on in the photo.

F11- The photo is still blurry, this is shot at 1/11th shutter speed.

F16- The shutter speed at 1/16 just makes the photo go blank like nothings there.

F22- The photo is way to blurry at shutter speed 1/22 it does not look well it messes with the skin tone of the girl.

I got a low score on the first time, but the second time i got all of them right. This is simple to me and all makes sense now think i got this down.
